Dear Warsaw Central Community:

We miss all of our students and staff and look forward to the time we can once again come back together in traditional ways.

As a result of Governor Cuomo's Executive Order requiring school districts to remain open daily to provide remote instruction, meal distribution and childcare to healthcare workers and first responders, there have been changes to the original Warsaw Central School District Calendar for 2019-20.

~ Friday, May 22, 2020 - originally scheduled as a day off, but has been changed to a day of remote learning.

~ Monday, May 25, 2020 - Memorial Day (National Holiday): No remote learning, meal or work distribution - School closed.

~ Monday, June 15, 2020 - Last day of remote learning for students and teachers.

~ Friday, June 26, 2020 - Last day of breakfast and lunch meal distribution.

~ Friday, June 26, 2020 - WCSD Commencement Ceremony (Final Details forthcoming).

Building principals will communicate additional information specific to each buiiding regarding textbook dropoff, chromebook returns, calculators, etc.

The annual budget newsletter will be mailed to residents shortly. Participation in the annual budget vote and Board of Education elections will take place by absentee ballot only. Absentee ballots will be mailed to homes within the next week. These ballots must be returned back to the District Office by 5 pm on Tuesday, June 9. If you are an eligible voter and do not receive an absentee ballot, please contact the District Office at after May 26.

We continue to work on our reopening plans, examining all contingencies and following guidance from the Wyoming County Health Department, CDC, and the Governor. We will continue to provide you updates as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate through this period of COVID-19.

Stay safe and healthy!
